PSGDC is now running Dementia Specific Social Adult Day Services with special attention given to those with Early Memory Loss (EML). Our services are based at 199 14th Street, consolidating our administrative offices and Adult Day Services into one building. The space has been renovated to create a safe and secure environment, and we continue to provide transportation to those who attend the center.

Services are fee-based and offered for private pay and to clients who come to us through managed care agencies. We rely on individual contributions and foundation grants to support this important work and allow us to keep fees to clients and their families as low as possible.

Our trained staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing an oasis of safety and caring for all clients with cognitive disabilities and their families and to developing the most innovative and cutting-edge programming that imagination and resources will allow.

About PSGDC
Park Slope Geriatric Day Center was established in 1983 as a freestanding, nonprofit, community-based agency to provide services to older adults who have “aged out” of traditional senior centers but want to stay active in their community. PSGDC is a recognized leader in the field. Today we operate a national model center for persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia, with special programming for those with Early Memory Loss.

OUR MISSION is to help older people in our community who have physical, mental or emotional limitations to maintain and/or improve their level of functioning so they can enjoy their later years.

We believe that human beings regardless of age or degree of impairment, can benefit from continuing to participate in the life of a community where they are accepted and have opportunities to experience a sense of purpose and success. Our members are not pressured to be anyone they are not, and they are encouraged to be everything they can.
